How It Works

1

Choose a Scenario

Select the type of interview you want to practice. If you have an upcoming interview in your Job Tracker, you can link the practice session directly to that application.
2

Pick Your Settings

Choose the AI voice you prefer and the language for your session. Six voice options are available so you can pick one that feels natural to practice with.
3

Start the Interview

Mokki will introduce itself and begin the interview. Just speak naturally - the AI waits for you to finish your thoughts before responding, so take your time.
4

Get Coached Along the Way

As you answer questions, Mokki analyzes your responses and provides coaching tips. These tips cover things like answer structure, specificity, and impact.
5

Review Your Performance

After the session, review your full transcript and all the coaching feedback. Use this to identify patterns and areas to work on before your next practice session.

During Your Interview

The AI interviewer is designed to feel like a real conversation:
  • Natural pacing - Mokki detects when you have finished speaking before responding. If you pause to think, it gives you time instead of jumping in.
  • Pause and resume - Need a moment? Pause the interview at any time and pick up where you left off.
  • Thinking time - If you need extra time to gather your thoughts, just say so. Mokki will wait for you.
  • Session time limit - Each scenario has a set duration so you can practice within a realistic time frame.
Interview practice uses AI credits from your plan. Each session type has a different credit cost depending on its length and complexity.

Coaching Feedback

After each answer you give, the AI analyzes your response and generates coaching feedback. Tips cover dimensions like:
  • Relevance - Did you address what was asked?
  • Structure - Was your answer well-organized?
  • Specificity - Did you include concrete examples and details?
  • Impact - Did you highlight results and achievements?
  • Confidence - Did your answer come across with conviction?
All coaching tips are saved with your session so you can revisit them anytime from your session history.

Tips for Better Interview Practice

Practice out loud, not in your head. Speaking your answers is very different from thinking them through. Voice practice helps you sound more natural and catch filler words.
Use the Experience Match scenario before real interviews. It tailors questions to the specific job you are applying for, so you practice answering the questions most likely to come up.
Review your transcript after each session. Look for patterns - do you tend to give vague answers? Forget to mention results? Spotting habits is the first step to fixing them.
Link practice sessions to your Job Tracker applications. This way you can see all your preparation for a specific role in one place and track how your answers improve over time.

Upcoming Interviews

If you have interviews scheduled in your Job Tracker, they appear on the interview practice page. You can jump straight into a practice session tailored to that specific role, with your resume and the job details already loaded as context for the AI. Make sure your resume is ready before your interview. Use the Resume Builder to tailor it for the role, and generate a cover letter if the application calls for one.
