Overview

The Settings page lets you personalize Mokaru to fit your workflow. From choosing your resume language to connecting your calendar, everything is organized into easy-to-find tabs.

General

Language & Region

  • Interface Language: Switch between English and Dutch for the app interface
  • Timezone: Set your timezone for accurate interview scheduling and calendar sync
  • Date Format: Choose how dates are displayed throughout the app

Profile Information

Your profile details (name, email, phone) are used across Mokaru for resume generation. Updating them here keeps everything in sync.
Your profile feeds into your resumes. Any changes to your name, email, or phone number here will be reflected in newly generated resumes.

Resume Language

This setting controls the language of all AI-generated content, including:
  • Resume summaries and descriptions
  • Cover letters
  • Keyword suggestions and bullet points
This is separate from the interface language. You can use Mokaru in English while generating resumes in German, French, Spanish, or any of 35+ supported languages.
Choose the language that matches the job market you are targeting. If you are applying to jobs in France, set your resume language to French so all AI-generated content comes out in the right language.

Notifications

Control how and when Mokaru reaches out to you:
Toggle email alerts for application updates, interview reminders, and follow-up suggestions. Choose between instant delivery or a daily digest.
Enable browser or device notifications for time-sensitive updates like upcoming interviews.
Pick the cadence that works for you: instant alerts, a daily digest, or a weekly summary.

Integrations

Connect external services to supercharge your job search workflow.

Calendar Sync (Plus)

Sync your interviews and follow-ups with your existing calendar. Mokaru supports:
  • Google Calendar
  • Outlook Calendar
To connect a calendar:
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Connect next to your calendar provider
  3. Sign in and grant Mokaru permission to read and write events
  4. Once connected, interviews and reminders will sync automatically
You can connect multiple calendar providers at the same time. Each provider card shows:
  • Connection status and the connected email
  • When the last sync happened
  • A Sync Now button to trigger a manual sync at any time
Mokaru auto-syncs your calendar whenever you visit the dashboard or job tracker (at most once per hour). Use the Sync Now button if you need the latest data immediately.

Email Integration (Plus)

Connect your Outlook email to let Mokaru detect application-related emails and keep your tracker up to date. To connect:
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Connect Outlook
  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account and approve the requested permissions
  4. Once connected, Mokaru will monitor for job-related emails
A diagnostics panel is available for each connected email provider, showing subscription status and recent activity.
Calendar and email integrations require a Plus plan. Free users can see the options but will be prompted to upgrade when connecting.

Account

Account Details

View your account ID, email address, and account creation date.

Change Password

Click the password option to be redirected to your authentication provider, where you can update your password securely.

Delete Account

If you decide to leave, you can permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone, and you will be asked to confirm before anything is removed.

Billing

Manage your subscription and payment details:
  • Current Plan: See whether you are on the Free or Plus plan
  • Billing Period: Weekly, monthly, quarterly, or lifetime
  • Next Billing Date: When your next payment is due
  • Payment Method: Manage your card or payment method through the Stripe portal
  • Upgrade or Downgrade: Switch plans or change your billing period at any time
  • Cancel: Cancel your subscription at the end of the current billing period
  • Reactivate: Changed your mind? Restore a cancelled subscription before it expires
Need to update your payment method? Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can update your card, view invoices, and more.
